Collaboration is the Key to Success

Collaboration is the Key to Success
“Collaboration” is the current buzz word. There are businesses globally that have discovered that their respective products or services complement each other. They have discovered that there is great value in working together. Businesses that work together to create a better solution for their clients.
Collaboration, however, is not something new. Throughout history, there have been businesses, artists, entertainers, fashion designers, even government departments that have successfully worked together to create something great.
There are significant benefits to two or more minds or two or more businesses coming together. Collaboration opens the scope for greater opportunities to all businesses involved in the collaboration. Rather than several businesses doing their own thing, repeating the same steps of manufacturing, marketing, and sales, collaboration can share the costs and the profits.
Collaboration is bouncing ideas off each other, working out what each business needs, and together creating a product or service that meets all requirements. Businesses working together can create innovative and superior products or services.

What makes this work?

There are many great success stories of businesses working together to create greatness; there are just as many failures. So, what do businesses need to do to make it work?

Understanding

All businesses within the collaboration must have a clear understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of their partnering businesses.

Communication

There must be open lines of communication between each partner. Every partner must have a voice, and their opinion or idea must be heard.

Trust & Confidentiality

The businesses must be able to trust each other. They will be sharing highly sensitive information about their respective businesses with each other. They will also be relying on each other to complete the project.

Who has successfully achieved this?

There is an ongoing collaboration between three outstanding companies, and together they have been able to provide a significant service.
Aeris Environmental Ltd and the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice Program have collaborated with HydroKleen to provide a Total Solution Process (TSP). This process encompasses air-conditioner testing, cleaning, and protection.
Aeris Environmentals’ globally certified technology is derived from hospital infection microbial control and removes contamination from coils as well as providing guaranteed protection from recontamination.
National Asthma Council Australia (NACA) is a not-for-profit organisation working to improve the health and quality of life of Australians suffering from asthma. The NACA publish Australia’s national guideline for asthma management. HydroKleens’ Total Solution Process is the only method of cleaning, sanitising, and disinfecting of air conditioners approved through NACA’s Sensitive Choice Program.
HydroKleens’ TSP ensures air conditioning systems perform at optimum efficiency, resulting in a longer lifespan, significantly reduced running and maintenance costs, as well as ensuring dramatically improved air quality.
These three organisations working together have been able to create an innovative product and service that not only offers:
·         A healthier indoor environment - sick building causes are frequently pinned down to flaws in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

·         Less energy usage - for systems whose heat transfer surfaces have not been inspected and cleaned in the last three years an immediate energy saving of at least 10% is expected to be achieved following cleaning

·         Reduced maintenance costs – AC systems that are cleaned regularly will have less occurrence of breakdowns or repairs.

·         Improved asset protection – the expected lifespan of an HVAC system is on average 14 years. Protecting this asset with regular maintenance will reduce the need to replace the system, reduce landfill, and save the customer money.

Three-Pronged Attack

Aeris Environmentals technology has been used to create a cleaning product that not only cleans HVAC systems, but it also sanitises and disinfects. This product, used with the HydroKleen trademarked cleaning system will guarantee the removal of microbiological contaminants such as bacteria, mould and fungi which are commonly found in HVAC systems.
HydroKleen has spent extensive time consulting with National Asthma Council Australia to make sure that their service aligns with the Sensitive Choice Program. This alliance is extremely important to HydroKleen as part of the Total Solution Process.

We are Globalised!! How Much Does It Cost to Stay Cool?

HydroKleen is the global air conditioning service experts. It’s summer in the southern hemisphere, and we are all looking for ways to stay cool. Fans whirl over our heads, cold water is being drunk by the truckload, and swimming at the beach or in the pool are very popular. The one thing we are all hesitant to do is to flick the switch and turn on the air conditioner. We will put up with the heat to save on electricity.
But, a recent article by Brendan O’Neill from Canstar Blue outlines that running air conditioners is not as expensive as we think it is. He states “The average reverse cycle air conditioner costs around $0.25 – $0.35 per hour to run for cooling purposes, depending on the size of the room. A medium sized room of 36sqm would cost $0.36 – $0.70 per hour to run. In large areas (50sqm), it will cost between $0.70 and $0.95 per hour.”
According to this article, it costs you more to run your vacuum or microwave than it does to cool your room. So why is it that the air conditioner has such a bad rap? It could be because we run it for hours, overnight while we sleep, and at temperatures well below the recommended.
There are things you can do to ensure your air conditioner is running efficiently and you won’t have to sell your favorite child to pay the electricity bill.

1.    Temperature Control

We are all guilty of being tempted to turn down the dial to freezing level on a hot day, to cool the room quickly. But this is counterproductive. A room that is cooled to a temperature lower than the recommended 24°C will use more power than necessary. Don’t overwork you’re a/c unit by setting the thermostat lower than the recommended temperature. Maintaining a consistent temperature throughout the day is the easiest way to reduce the impact of air conditioning on your electricity bill.

2.    Glass is Your Enemy

The fastest way for your home to heat up is with heat transference through your glass windows and doors. The hot sun, in no time at all, will make a room stifling raising the temperature well above that which is comfortable. Invest in total block out curtains and blinds and make sure that these are closed before turning on you’re a/c.

3.    Turn Off Your Lights

It will amaze you how much heat transference you can get from lighting in your home. Wherever possible turn off or minimise using the lights in your home. Not only do they add to the temperature they can also consume more electricity than the a/c. If you don’t need it, switch it off.

4.    Insulation

If you own your home, then invest in quality insulation in your ceilings and (where possible) walls and floors. Insulation will greatly reduce the temperature in your home in summer and will also prevent the cool air from escaping. It is one of the most cost-effective methods in cooling your home, without ongoing costs.

5.    Maintain You’re A/C Unit

This is something that we tend to forget. The split system hangs on the wall year after year. We clean the walls, floors and ceilings surrounding the unit, but rarely think about cleaning the actual unit. The air conditioner is what provides the air we breathe. It would shock you to know what you are breathing in. A well maintained, clean, air conditioner will be more efficient consuming less power and provide clean air for you and your family.

Who Can You Trust to Clean You’re A/C?

We specialise in one thing, and we do it well. We specialise in cleaning and sanitizing split systems and ceiling cassette units. HydroKleening and servicing a dirty air conditioner/heat pump can save you up to 30% power usage for that unit. Think about the impact this would make on your power bill. You won’t baulk at turning on your a/c in the future. When we HydroKleen your unit, we can more than double the volume of air passing through it. This means that the fan motor is not working nearly as hard. You'll easily recoup the cost for a HydroKleen to annually clean your unit when you see how low your energy bill is. Your home will be comfortable during summer, your family will be cool, and you will be breathing healthy air.
