This is one of the common problem in Aircon and could be a complex issue if multiple faulty conditions occurs.
Unbalanced air flow, faulty motor bearings and abnormal gas pressure in the fan coil pipe may also result in noisy air con operation.
Unbalanced air flow is caused by unbalance motor rotation of the compressor. The compressor blower vibrates and produces noises, transmitted through the buildings. It could be the dirt built-up or compressor itself.
A fan coil and dirty outdoor condenser could get choked. The fan coil outlet does not have regular blow of fresh air. The flow of the air is unevenly spread out throughout the fan coil. It could also be identified when you noticed only the pocket of wind flowing out of fan coil.
There are 2 levels of services.
First, call upon the regular service contractor to keep the aircon filter clean. Should the problem persisted, request for the checking and trouble shooting services to the aircon.
When a problem is reported, the aircon service and repair company will propose the course of action to solve it. We will usually advise clients relating to the parts failure, replacement service, length of service required, and the cost.
