Collaboration is the Key to Success

Collaboration is the Key to Success
“Collaboration” is the current buzz word. There are businesses globally that have discovered that their respective products or services complement each other. They have discovered that there is great value in working together. Businesses that work together to create a better solution for their clients.
Collaboration, however, is not something new. Throughout history, there have been businesses, artists, entertainers, fashion designers, even government departments that have successfully worked together to create something great.
There are significant benefits to two or more minds or two or more businesses coming together. Collaboration opens the scope for greater opportunities to all businesses involved in the collaboration. Rather than several businesses doing their own thing, repeating the same steps of manufacturing, marketing, and sales, collaboration can share the costs and the profits.
Collaboration is bouncing ideas off each other, working out what each business needs, and together creating a product or service that meets all requirements. Businesses working together can create innovative and superior products or services.

What makes this work?

There are many great success stories of businesses working together to create greatness; there are just as many failures. So, what do businesses need to do to make it work?

Understanding

All businesses within the collaboration must have a clear understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of their partnering businesses.

Communication

There must be open lines of communication between each partner. Every partner must have a voice, and their opinion or idea must be heard.

Trust & Confidentiality

The businesses must be able to trust each other. They will be sharing highly sensitive information about their respective businesses with each other. They will also be relying on each other to complete the project.

Who has successfully achieved this?

There is an ongoing collaboration between three outstanding companies, and together they have been able to provide a significant service.
Aeris Environmental Ltd and the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice Program have collaborated with HydroKleen to provide a Total Solution Process (TSP). This process encompasses air-conditioner testing, cleaning, and protection.
Aeris Environmentals’ globally certified technology is derived from hospital infection microbial control and removes contamination from coils as well as providing guaranteed protection from recontamination.
National Asthma Council Australia (NACA) is a not-for-profit organisation working to improve the health and quality of life of Australians suffering from asthma. The NACA publish Australia’s national guideline for asthma management. HydroKleens’ Total Solution Process is the only method of cleaning, sanitising, and disinfecting of air conditioners approved through NACA’s Sensitive Choice Program.
HydroKleens’ TSP ensures air conditioning systems perform at optimum efficiency, resulting in a longer lifespan, significantly reduced running and maintenance costs, as well as ensuring dramatically improved air quality.
These three organisations working together have been able to create an innovative product and service that not only offers:
·         A healthier indoor environment - sick building causes are frequently pinned down to flaws in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

·         Less energy usage - for systems whose heat transfer surfaces have not been inspected and cleaned in the last three years an immediate energy saving of at least 10% is expected to be achieved following cleaning

·         Reduced maintenance costs – AC systems that are cleaned regularly will have less occurrence of breakdowns or repairs.

·         Improved asset protection – the expected lifespan of an HVAC system is on average 14 years. Protecting this asset with regular maintenance will reduce the need to replace the system, reduce landfill, and save the customer money.

Three-Pronged Attack

Aeris Environmentals technology has been used to create a cleaning product that not only cleans HVAC systems, but it also sanitises and disinfects. This product, used with the HydroKleen trademarked cleaning system will guarantee the removal of microbiological contaminants such as bacteria, mould and fungi which are commonly found in HVAC systems.
HydroKleen has spent extensive time consulting with National Asthma Council Australia to make sure that their service aligns with the Sensitive Choice Program. This alliance is extremely important to HydroKleen as part of the Total Solution Process.

We are Globalised!! How Much Does It Cost to Stay Cool?

HydroKleen is the global air conditioning service experts. It’s summer in the southern hemisphere, and we are all looking for ways to stay cool. Fans whirl over our heads, cold water is being drunk by the truckload, and swimming at the beach or in the pool are very popular. The one thing we are all hesitant to do is to flick the switch and turn on the air conditioner. We will put up with the heat to save on electricity.
But, a recent article by Brendan O’Neill from Canstar Blue outlines that running air conditioners is not as expensive as we think it is. He states “The average reverse cycle air conditioner costs around $0.25 – $0.35 per hour to run for cooling purposes, depending on the size of the room. A medium sized room of 36sqm would cost $0.36 – $0.70 per hour to run. In large areas (50sqm), it will cost between $0.70 and $0.95 per hour.”
According to this article, it costs you more to run your vacuum or microwave than it does to cool your room. So why is it that the air conditioner has such a bad rap? It could be because we run it for hours, overnight while we sleep, and at temperatures well below the recommended.
There are things you can do to ensure your air conditioner is running efficiently and you won’t have to sell your favorite child to pay the electricity bill.

1.    Temperature Control

We are all guilty of being tempted to turn down the dial to freezing level on a hot day, to cool the room quickly. But this is counterproductive. A room that is cooled to a temperature lower than the recommended 24°C will use more power than necessary. Don’t overwork you’re a/c unit by setting the thermostat lower than the recommended temperature. Maintaining a consistent temperature throughout the day is the easiest way to reduce the impact of air conditioning on your electricity bill.

2.    Glass is Your Enemy

The fastest way for your home to heat up is with heat transference through your glass windows and doors. The hot sun, in no time at all, will make a room stifling raising the temperature well above that which is comfortable. Invest in total block out curtains and blinds and make sure that these are closed before turning on you’re a/c.

3.    Turn Off Your Lights

It will amaze you how much heat transference you can get from lighting in your home. Wherever possible turn off or minimise using the lights in your home. Not only do they add to the temperature they can also consume more electricity than the a/c. If you don’t need it, switch it off.

4.    Insulation

If you own your home, then invest in quality insulation in your ceilings and (where possible) walls and floors. Insulation will greatly reduce the temperature in your home in summer and will also prevent the cool air from escaping. It is one of the most cost-effective methods in cooling your home, without ongoing costs.

5.    Maintain You’re A/C Unit

This is something that we tend to forget. The split system hangs on the wall year after year. We clean the walls, floors and ceilings surrounding the unit, but rarely think about cleaning the actual unit. The air conditioner is what provides the air we breathe. It would shock you to know what you are breathing in. A well maintained, clean, air conditioner will be more efficient consuming less power and provide clean air for you and your family.

Who Can You Trust to Clean You’re A/C?

We specialise in one thing, and we do it well. We specialise in cleaning and sanitizing split systems and ceiling cassette units. HydroKleening and servicing a dirty air conditioner/heat pump can save you up to 30% power usage for that unit. Think about the impact this would make on your power bill. You won’t baulk at turning on your a/c in the future. When we HydroKleen your unit, we can more than double the volume of air passing through it. This means that the fan motor is not working nearly as hard. You'll easily recoup the cost for a HydroKleen to annually clean your unit when you see how low your energy bill is. Your home will be comfortable during summer, your family will be cool, and you will be breathing healthy air.

Allergies / Haze Impact Everyone!! Will Air Conditioner Help??

Are you afflicted at this time of year with a runny nose, itchy eyes and difficulty breathing?
Hay fever or allergic rhinitis is prevalent at this time of year, and it can make a much larger impact than you may think.

Allergies impact a very large percentage of the population. Therefore, the symptoms they suffer will impact all of us at some time or another. You may never suffer from allergic reactions, but you could suffer from the flow-on effect these symptoms can cause.
Many people think that hay fever is just a runny nose or itchy eyes. Non-sufferers compassion towards sufferers may be minimal, due to a lack of understanding.

Research has shown that allergies affecting the ear, nose, and throat can also cause a lack of the ability to get a good night’s sleep and also chronic fatigue. The flow-on effect of this is decreased efficiency and productivity in the workplace and absenteeism.

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology estimate that allergies impact the productivity for US companies to a cost of approximately $250 million per year. This cost is a direct impact on the financial viability for many companies.

But, not all respiratory allergies are exacerbated by the season. Pet hair, dander, dust, mites, or mould can cause a reaction at any time of the year.

What Can I Do to Prevent A Reaction?

The easy answer is to avoid what it is that causes your reaction. But, this is not always practical, especially if your reaction is due to seasonal or weather changes. The below is a list of the most common things you can do to reduce or prevent a reaction:
  • Keep all windows and doors closed and sealed to prevent penetration from airborne pollen.
  • Monitor pollen counts and remain indoors when pollen levels are high
  • Allergy-proof your home removing any dust mites, pet hair or mold
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs and furniture often
  • If possible keep your pets outside.
  • Hire a cleaner, if possible, to clean the high mold areas of your home like the basement or garage.
  • Install air purifiers or dehumidifiers and make sure these are cleaned regularly
  • Check humidity levels in your home – make sure it is below 50% to prevent the growth of mold.

Can Air Conditioners Help?

Yes, they can. A well maintained and serviced air conditioner can help filter the air within your home or workplace. It is recommended that HEPA filters are installed into the unit. These must be cleaned regularly following the manufacturer's guidelines. This is as easy as cleaning the filter on your vacuum. Dirty air filters will have an adverse effect on the performance of the unit as well as the health of the occupants of the home.

Further to this, make sure you have your air conditioner expertly cleaned at least annually. A complete hygienic clean of your a/c unit will ensure that you are breathing clean air and your machine is running efficiently.

An expert or specialist cleaner should clean all aspects of your a/c unit. Before you hire them, make sure they will:
  • Check the air conditioner is working before the service
  • Check the chill factor before the clean
  • Check the air flow of the unit
  • Remove and clean the filters
  • Remove and clean all plastic fascia(s)
  • Clean the scroll fan and surround
  • Clean the evaporator (coil)
  • Clean and check the drain(s)
  • Dry-clean all electrical components (PC Boards)
  • Reassemble air conditioner
  • Check the chill factor after the clean
  • Check air flow after the clean
  • Sanitise inside the unit
  • Check and clean the remote controller
  • Clean the condenser (outside unit)
  • Clean up any mess
  • National Asthma Council Australia Sensitive Choice Program approved cleaning method.
If your technician cannot offer all the above, then call HydroKleen KBE Singapore.
Let us help rid your home of those nasties that cause you to sneeze and have allergic reactions.

Do You Buy Genuine or Imitation Products or Services?

We are living in a world where we're always looking at ways we can save money. There are new supermarkets, retail outlets and businesses popping up all the time that promise quality products or services at discounted prices. It can be tempting to try that different supplier that offers the product or service at a significantly reduced price. What can it hurt?

This trend is now penetrating not just the products we buy but also services. Businesses, tradesman, and even technicians say they can match the product or service of their competitor. But, there are some things that you just shouldn't substitute for price.

There are some things that we should only buy genuine. There are things we just shouldn't scrimp on, especially when it comes to the health of our family or colleagues.

We at KBE find it alarming the number of client's homes we attend where they have paid for "cheaper technicians" to clean their air conditioners at reduced rates. These are businesses supplying a service they don't have the correct tools, equipment or expertise to perform.
The homeowner calls us to attend because:
genuine-aircon-servicing-company-in-singapore

  • they find the service hasn't been performed correctly,
  • they have only cleaned part of the unit,
  • they have damaged the unit, and
  • they don't offer any guarantee or warranty on their workmanship.
We understand that it's hard to go past an advert for someone to clean your air conditioner for only $25 or $30. But, be very careful of the imitations or imposters. You do get what you pay for.
Think about it for a minute. An experienced air conditioner technician is going to travel to your home or workplace, thoroughly clean and sanitise your air conditioner unit, all for $25-$40. What level of service do you think you'll get for this? It is simply a bait to get in your door and then they will tell you the real cost to clean. So please don’t let low advertised prices fool you.
It may cost more to HydroKleen your air conditioner by a fully trained HydroKleen KBE technician. But, it will be value for your investment.

Top 4 Reasons Why You Should Only Buy Our Genuine Service:

  1. KBE is the only cleaning service company in Singapore with the specific equipment using for servicing. We can clean in places that others just cannot get to, no matter what lies they tell you.

  1. We are the one of the cleaning service company that's exclusively approved by the National Asthma Council’s Sensitive Choice program. We only achieved this approval after working for six months with independent chemists, doctors, and scientists. This included demonstrating our process, the cleaning agent we use and the anti-bacterial products we apply.

There is no other air conditioner cleaning company in Singapore who's achieved this. If you don't believe us, visit the Sensitive Choice website.

  1. We have been working closely with most number of child care, hospitals, Schools all around the Singapore. We now apply a mold remediation treatment to your air conditioning system as part of our standard clean. This means that we can give a 12-month guarantee against mold growth.

  1. Our serviced air conditioning system is the most professional clean you can get. We're so confident, should you not be happy with our service, we will refund your money in full and pay for a competitor to re-clean it for you.

Beware of Imposters

There are lots of cheap imposters out there spruiking they can do the same as like our services. In fact, nobody can clean like us. Imposters don’t have access to any of our equipment or our technology. Nobody else can clean and sanitise your air conditioners as we does. Make sure you use a “certified” technician and not somebody suggesting they can service your air conditioner.
Don't risk imitation - call KBE today 6506-7330 and Breathe Healthy Air.

Do You Know? It is Must to Clean Kitchen Exhaust Duct At Coffeeshops and Eateries

[SOURCE: SCDF, Singapore]
As per SCDF, Singapore, The number of Kitchen Exhaust Duct (KED) fires involving coffee shops has been increasing and were mostly found spreading rapidly because of the accumulated grease within ducts that have not been degreased and cleaned timely. These fires could have been avoided if the exhaust ducts (including the interior), kitchen hoods, hood filters and grease drain containers are checked and cleaned regularly.
The coffee shop KED fires have disrupted business operations and pose fire safety risk to stall holders, patrons and residents staying above the premises. We would like to remind that the exhaust ducts (including the interior) and kitchen hoods of your premises must be cleaned and maintained at least once in every 12 months. The work shall be carried out by a specialist and the records of cleaning and degreasing are to be kept by the owner / operator for verification by relevant authority e.g. during the NEA’s yearly licensing inspection or check, it will verify for compliance. Failure to adhere to this fire safety requirement will constitute an offence under the Fire Safety Act.
